Medical

An NHS medical centre is located in the BarkantinePractice, opposite Ocean Wharf. However, it is necessary to register with a doctor to be accepted into their list of patients (a quick medical may be performed on registration). See their web site.

The Barts and London Hospital is the closest Accident & Emergency (A&E) hospital. It is located opposite Whitechapel Tube station (map, tel 020 7377 7000 ).

Supermarkets

There is an ASDA (directions) shopping centre in the middle of the Isle of Dogs (E14 3BT, phone 020 7987 2614), about a 10 minute walk from Ocean Wharf. It is at the end of the D3 Isle of Dogs bus route, which is handy for getting shopping back to Ocean Wharf.

There is a Tesco and Waitrose supermarket at Canary Wharf shops (map), and a large Tesco located one stop west on the Jubilee Line at Canada Water (map). Further afield, Sainsbury's are at Greenwich and another in Mile End.

The Quarterdeck shops opposite has a post office/stationers, pharmacy/chemist, dry cleaning, florist, mini cab service, and hair salon. The Yogi Mini Mart next to Ocean Wharf on Westferry road has small range of groceries, and there is a small Chinese take away and Kebab shop next door.
