Rubbish

The main bin store is at the rear of block B adjacent to Phase 1’s car park. There is a second store in block D for use by block D residents only.

If you need to dispose of large items, please ask the concierge to arrange for collection by Tower Hamlets council. Residents are permitted two free collections per year so please do make use of these otherwise we are charged for repeated usage. If you need to dispose of large items - like furniture, fridges or other large household appliances - contact the bulk refuse collection service on 020 7364 5004.

Rubbish collection day by the council is Tuesday.

Recycling

The bin store in block B has some dedicated bins labelled for recycling. Additionally, there is a small recycling station a minute’s walk from the gate along Westferry Road, opposite the park. Paper, bottles and tin cans can all be recycled there.

Bicycle Lockers

There is a locked bicycle locker on the ground floor of block B. Contact the porter to arrange access. See also the Cycling section of LocalTransport.

Security

There are many CCTV video cameras around the complex providing coverage of the car parks and views of the entry doors. The police are given access to the footage if the need arises. The CCTV footage is available on certain TV channels so residents can tune in to the cameras and survey the area, although not all buildings can receive this. If your building can, should anyone dial your apartment from the gates or doors (which are linked to your landline phone if fitted) you can see who it is by selecting the appropriate TV channel!

Block A garden on the river

The gardens are accessible to residents of Phase 2 and you can obtain a key from the concierge. The Residents’ Association often holds informal gatherings here in the summer months. See the notice boards for further information.

Satellite television

There is a communal aerial and satellite network for all blocks giving access to terrestrial and satellite services. You will however need to arrange a suitable contract with a service provider e.g. BSkyB to receive satellite services.
